Brian Slatter is a senior associate at Louis Gishen & Associates with extensive experience in commercial law, civil litigation, and dispute resolution. He has appeared regularly in the High Court and arbitration proceedings, acting for both corporate and individual clients across a wide range of commercial, contractual, and property-related disputes.
Brian began his legal career at Louis Gishen & Associates in 2018, where he completed his articles and went on to practise as a junior associate. After several years gaining further experience in corporate commercial law and litigation, including representing local government entities in complex disputes involving property, regulatory compliance, and employment matters, he returned to the firm as a senior associate.
He is skilled in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, advising on regulatory and contractual issues, and representing clients in both litigious and alternative dispute resolution forums. Known for his meticulous attention to detail, strategic approach, and professionalism, Brian is dedicated to providing practical and effective legal solutions tailored to each client’s needs.
Brian obtained his Bachelor of Laws with distinction from the University of Johannesburg, where he was a member of the UJenius Club for ranking among the top 1% of academic achievers.
